With Ben & Jerry’s recent decision to stop selling their products in the West Bank, many Jews have responded by boycotting B&J products.
But how will Ben & Jerry’s know that such a small segment of the population is not buying their products? How will the company be able to calculate the loss of business that our boycott represents?
Here’s how: We’ll send them the lids from the all of the containers of non-Ben & Jerry’s ice cream we’ve purchased for the remainder of the summer.
- Buy a container of ice cream.
Not Ben & Jerry’s, and preferably not any of the other ice cream brands made by Unilever: Breyers, Good Humor, Klondike, Magnum, Popsicle, and Talenti Gelato. Not sure what to buy? Click here for a list!

- Bring the ice cream lid(s) to a drop-off location near you no later than September 5, 2021.

- We’ll take care of the rest!
On September 9 (the day after Rosh Hashanah), thousands of lids collected across the USA will be sent to AJYP. In turn, we’ll ship them to the Ben & Jerry’s CEO with the message that these are the brands we’ll continue to buy until B&J rejects BDS, strengthens its ties with Israel, and supports peace for Israelis and Palestinians alike.*
